Welcome! My name is Antanina Yeudakimenka, the founder, and owner of Karina Boutique. We first opened in Mays Landing, NJ in October of 2008. Encouraged by our customers to offer our most admired items on the web, we began selling online five years ago as karinaboutique.com.
We’re known as the one place where you can dress up for any event. In addition to our eye-catching jewelry, we offer a selection of semi-formal dresses, and stylish accessories. We also follow red carpet trends, carefully selecting each piece of jewelry and accessory, to meet the demands of the most daring fashionista.
I came to the United States as an exchange student from Belarus, at the age of 19. While here, the university in Belarus was closed by the government’s dictator, so I decided to remain in the United States. My first job here in the US was as a sales assistant in a “beautiful boutique store.” At that time, I struggled to learn English and worked hard to master the language. Soon, I was named Assistant Manager, helping the Manager with every task.
After a year and a half, the Manager left, and, at the age of 22, I became the store Manager. I loved my job and realized that this is exactly that I want to do. A year later, the store closed due to a downturn in the economy.
In the days following the store closure, I sent out many applications but realized that it was unlikely I would find a job that would be satisfying and pay enough to care for myself and my 7-month old daughter. I needed a place to work where I could raise my baby, and self-employment seemed like the only option. Since I loved working in the fashion industry, I decided to use my savings and credit to open a fashion boutique. I was 23 when I opened the store and worked a full year of long hours without any days off in order to grow the business. Here we are today, launching my newly redesigned shopping site, featuring a Personal Shopping experience with me as your guide.
My daughter and my love for my work have been my motivation. I'm grateful that my daughter is growing up in this country, knowing the value of hard work and that together we can accomplish anything. Her name is Karina, and this is for her.
